“A vision without architecture is a dream. Architecture turns that dream into something you can build”

In Module 1, We explored the idea and the market – why Substack exists, what gaps it leaves, and where an independent creator platform could fit.

Now, it's time to shift gears – from why to how.

This module is all about translating vision into structure: defining what the system should do, what users need, and how all the moving pieces will fit together.

The Bridge Between Idea and Implementation

Every great product lives in two worlds:

  1. Conceptual – where ideas exists as possibilities
  2. Architectural – where ideas take shape as systems, APIs, and databases.

Before I start writing code, I need clarity. I need a blueprint that answers:

  • What features should the platform have (and not have)?
  • Who uses it, and how do they interact with it?
  • What constraints must the system handle (scale, speed, cost)?
  • Which technologies are the best fit for my goals?

That's the purpose of this module.
